Welcome to the Village
About Ella Addison
Owner & Founder, Village Pottery Studio
Pottery began for me during one of the darkest seasons of my life — a place of depression and uncertainty. What started as a quiet form of healing slowly grew into something far bigger: a community built on creativity, connection, and belonging.
Over the past seven years, I’ve gone from shaping clay to shaping a space where others can do the same — building Village Pottery Studio, a creative home in Charlotte dedicated to community, inclusion, and education. The Village is more than a studio; it’s a safe place to slow down, connect with others, and create something real.
As an artist and business owner, I’ve been honored to participate in events such as the BOOM Festival and to be a proud member of the Charlotte Business Chamber of Commerce and Carolina Clay Matters Guild. I hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s in business with a focus on accounting, which have helped me bridge the worlds of creativity and strategy — building an arts organization that’s both heart-driven and sustainable.
Today, my passion lies in helping people discover what clay taught me: that beautiful things can come from pressure, patience, and purpose. Whether you’re a seasoned professional looking for creative balance or someone seeking a sense of community, you belong here.
